SWF information

The hoops on this page will fit some models of machines, but not all. The first thing you will need to do is to figure out which sewing field widths your model uses. Please look at these pictures and take similar measurements of the existing hoops you use with your machine. Once you know your sewing field size, select the hoop that you are interested in and then select the sewing field option that is the same as your current hoop.

  • MIGHTY HOOP
    • Sewing Field Measurement
      • 360mm (13 7/8”)
        • Can only go up to a 10×10” Mighty Hoop
      • 388mm (15 ¼”) VERY RARE
        • Can only go up to a 10×10” Mighty Hoop
        • Extra arm option that could be purchased on single heads Compacts from the 360 spacing.
      • 392mm (15 7/16”)
        • Can only go up to a 10×10” Mighty Hoop
        • All UH Multihead machines and dual function multihead machines
          • Can do SWF392-1711-O (3/4” Offset)
          • 12×11 is too square for these machines
      • 448mm (17 5/8”)
        • Can go up to an 11×13” Mighty Hoop (No 12×15)
        • Only 2 head dual-function multihead machines
          • 9” series
            • We are sending all 9×3, 9×5, and 9×6 with PR version of hoop. May be able to normally use version with bumps but we don’t think this is needed. If customer wants bumps, you can do an exchange.
          • BT 902D
            • Only comes with Plastic Arms – Stopped making machine in 2005
              • Always send SWF448-S for special plastic bracket
            • Can use an 11×13 with SWF448-OS (Offset 7/8”)
          • BT1202D
        • MA-6, MA-12, MAN-12, MAS-12
          • The 9” tall series needs PR version – Pic Here
            • Uses MH-SWF448-55-BKT
              • Discontinued to use SWF448-95-BKT (5/8” Offset) 6-30-21
          • Better to sell 8×13
            • 11×13” only with offset bracket – Not Recommend
          • 8×9 is ok with no offset bkts or PR version of hoop
          • No 10×10 hits back of machine
      • 494mm (19 7/16”) ALSO KNOW AS SWF500
        • All UK Multihead machines
          • Can do 12×11
            • AT1201C – Hits back of machine, Need a ¼” offset bracket.
          • Can do 12×15 (No Offset)
          • Can do 17×11 with ¾” offset
          • Can do 15×12 Narrow Wing (MH-SWF500-1512)
        • Full Size Single Heads (No C at end of Model #)
          • E-U, E-T, A-T, B-T
        • Can do 12×15. (No 13×16)
          • SO# 512246 sent a 13×16 no offset, customer stated it would work
            • It didn’t fit, too deep needs to be offset
        • E-U can do 17×11 with ¾” offset
        • KX1501C – 500 & 622 (24.5”)
          • Cannot do 13×16 at 500mm, not sure about 12×15
          • Has a 622mm spacing as well as 500. Can use 10×19 and 13×19 on that arm spacing.
      • 498mm (19 5/8”)
        • Single Head Compact – Has C at the end of model #
          • E-T, A-T, B-T Compact Single Head
        • Can do a 12×15 with 1” offset
        • The 12×11 needs to be offset as well (the 11×13 has 1” of clearance in the back)
      • 622mm (23.5”)
        • On the KX1501C machine
        • Can use a 10×19 or 13×16.

 

 

SWF MODEL NOTES

  • Special Notes
    • If a model number that has a “D” at the end.  This is referring to Dual Function
    • If there is a “C” at the end of the model number. This is the compact version of the commercial single head machines
  • SINGLE HEAD MACHINES
    • MA-6, MA-12, MAN-12, and MAS-12 are the home versions of the single head machines. SWF448 BKTS
      • Max Hoop is 8×13
        • Can make an 11×13 work with offset bkt
          • Not recommend as it hangs off the front too much
      • 9×3, 9×5, and 9×6 Hoop will work with PR Version of Hoop
        • Uses standard 55 bkt. No offset bkts needed
      • 10×10 will not fit, Hits Back of Machine
      • Max SWF Hoop size that comes with machine is 39×26. We do make a fixture. SWF 39×26
    • MAS-15 – Full size machine branding like the MAS-12 for sewing dealers able to sell SWF
      • Similar to the ES1501C
        • Use SWF498 brackets
    • Full size single heads have no letter at the end of the model number.
      • Can be AT, BT, E-U, E-T, and E-S
      • Will have movable arms from 360 and 494
    • Compact Single Heads with a C at the end of the model number
      • Will have a set arm spacing, most common 498
      • Use to give out another arm set for 360 or 388
      • Arms are not moveable
    • AT-1201 or AT1501, B 1501 (2002)
      • Can move its arms like a Tajima machine
        • 360, 500, and 600 spacing’s
    • E-U Single Head – Bridge Type Machines
      • Comes in a 901, 1201, & 1501
      • Can do a SWF500-1711-0 (3/4” Offset)
    • KX1501
      • Can do SWF500 and SWF622 tubular arm spacing
      • 13×16 or 10×19 at the SWF622 spacing
  • Multi-Head Machines
    • UH or UK models.
      • UH is the SWF392 spacing.
        • Can be a dual function machine
        • 17×11 will work on all UH Models with ¾” offset
      • UK is the SWF500 spacing.
        • Arms are adjustable to the 360 spacing. Unlikely that the customer will move the arms.
        • UK model does not make a dual function
        • 12×15 OK (No offset needed)
        • 17×11 will work on the UK Models with ¾” offset
    • Dual Function machines
      • 2 head dual functions (Also called 1×1) will be SWF448
        • BT902D
        • BT1202D
      • Larger Multihead dual function will be SWF392 (UH Model numbers with a D at the end of model#)
        • 4 head (2×2), 6 head (3×3), 8 head (4×4), 12 head (6×6)
    • 12-Head Embroidery Machine (Very Old)
      • Model # SWF/B-UI1212-45
        • 15cm hoop was about 425mm or 16.75” wide
          • No Bracket at this time has been made.
